Meet Caitlin Hall
Hi, I’m Caitlin Hall, and I’m running to be your next State Representative in the 63rd District.
Originally from Detroit, I moved to Connecticut in 2014 and have proudly called Torrington home for nearly a decade. Like so many people in our community, I chose to build a life here because of the beautiful landscape, the hardworking people, and sense of community that make this corner of the state so special.
Professionally, my background is in social work. I’ve held a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) for nearly twenty years and spent much of my career helping people navigate challenges and connect with resources. Today, I work in the technology sector as a business analyst, where I focus on solving problems, managing complex projects, and finding practical solutions.
Engagement within the community has always been important to me as well. In Torrington, I presently serve on the Board of Finance, as Vice Chair of the St. John Paul the Great Academy School Board, and as Recording Secretary of the Torrington Democratic Town Committee.
The role that matters most to me, however, is being a mom. My two children, ages 9 and 6, are the reason I care so deeply about the future of our communities and the decisions being made today that will shape tomorrow.
I’m running because I believe our district deserves representation that listens, shows up, and fights for the people who live here. Like many of my neighbors, I’m concerned about the rising cost of living, the affordability of child care and health care, the tax burden placed on homeowners, and the challenges facing working families. I believe we need to protect fundamental rights, strengthen our local economy, and ensure that decisions affecting our communities are made with transparency, accountability, and the long-term interests of residents in mind.
I don’t come from a political background, and I’m not interested in becoming a career politician. I’m simply a resident, homeowner, parent, and community member who believes we deserve better and who is willing to put in the work to help make that happen.
District 63 has incredible potential. I believe in our towns, our families, and our future. Together, we can build communities that are affordable, welcoming, and full of opportunity for the next generation.
I’d be honored to earn your support.
