2026 General Election: Torrington Democratic Candidates

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. Torrington is split across two State House districts, two State Senate districts, and two Congressional districts, so the candidates on your ballot depend on where you vote.

Statewide Offices

  • Governor: Ned Lamont

  • Lieutenant Governor: Susan Bysiewicz

  • Attorney General: William Tong

  • Secretary of the State: Stephanie Thomas

  • Treasurer: Erick Russell

  • Comptroller: Sean Scanlon

DISTRICT 6 VOTERS: YOUR POLLING PLACE HAS CHANGED

If you vote in District 6, you will no longer vote at the Armory. Your new Election Day polling place is Vogel Wetmore School at 68 Church Street.

  • Early voting for all districts is still at City Hall

Three Ways to Vote

  • Vote early in person at Torrington City Hall, October 19 through November 1

  • Vote by absentee ballot. Any registered voter can request one, no excuse needed, at MyVote.CT.gov/absentee

  • Vote on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, at your district's polling place (see table above)

The deadline to register in advance is October 16. After that, you can still register and vote in person during early voting or on Election Day through same-day registration.
