Occupation:
In 2016, he moved to Charleston, South Carolina, to take a job as a ghostwriter with Forbes Books. Shortly thereafter, he married the love of his life, Cassandra Bennett, a British-born Canadian from Ontario, which meant undergoing a lengthy and costly immigration process.
In 2018, while living in Charleston, he published his first novel, The Line, which was a gritty and unflinching look at the opioid epidemic and its impact on northwestern Connecticut. Living in the South also inspired Keith's second book: A Hanging in the Lowcountry (2022). In this murder mystery, Keith examined Charleston's legacy of institutional racism and generational trauma.
Unhappy with the business culture and ethics of Forbes Books, Keith co-founded his own hybrid publishing and writing services business in 2019, which helps business leaders and public figures to author and publish books. The company's success eventually allowed Keith and Cassandra the freedom and ability to move back to Keith's hometown of Torrington, Connecticut, where the two had many found memories, friends, and family.
Keith has worked as a line cook, medical supply technician, pizza delivery driver, think tank researcher, substitute teacher, community organizer/nonprofit founder, ghostwriter, and publisher
Community involvement:
Democratic Town Committee
From 2011 - 2014, Keith founded and ran a local non-profit service organization based out of Torrington called "Spirits of '76". The volunteer-based group started out running food and clothing drives, but was soon organizing city clean-up efforts and other projects with the mayor's office. The organization spread to Rhode Island, where the local chapter received official honors from the state legislature and governor.
